Older incarnations of this blog had songs pulled from YT as a regular feature (one day I might even get round to tagging them). Sometimes there'd be brief commentary, most times not. This morning I had the idea of using this space to annotate some more music, in the hope that my favourite elusive mythical beast, the Actual Blog Visitor, might discover something they liked. Seems a harmless enough activity for a Sunday night. Seems a common way to go, even. "Row Jimmy" appeared on the Grateful Dead's Wake of the Flood album, which along with various other Dead albums, and a smattering of prog and Motown soul, provided much of the backing track to a goodly chunk of my unspent, bedroom-bound, lightly sozzled adolescence. Hay lugares, todavía, que pertenecen a ese otro mundo, el de la infancia, el cual a diferencia del que ahora tengo alrededor, es más grande que mi imaginación. Veamos: En el mundo éste donde vivimos (tú también, caso contrario no estuvieras aquí), las mujeres tienen un repertorio de 127 expresiones faciales (ojo, a partir del 89 son pornografía), y los hombres teóricamente 15, de los que 11 son asignadas y los restantes 4 reservadas para implementaciones futuras. Claro que hay mucho más que eso (pregunten si no a Paul Ekman), pero son los que nosotros, los de la secularmente puteada clase obrera con nuestra limitada educación, podemos y sabemos ver. Eso significa que al cumplir la mayoría de edad, es decir sobre los 40 años (antes si dices NO a las drogas) ya has visto todo lo que la cara humana, por ende la tuya, actualmente puede enseñarte. Además, todas esas expresiones están anotadas y clasificadas, aunque los legos las esparcimos torpemente entre adjetivos, filosofías, tendencias ...
